"Monbeong Lake" station, near Nelson, S-W Victoria, married 1853, Isle of Mull, Scotland to Ann McLEAN 1828-1907, b. Isle of Mull, Scotland, d. Mount Gambier, S-E South Australia.

Alexander Campbell McFARLANE and Ann McLEAN arrived on the "Edward Johnstone" at Portland, S-W Victoria in September 1854. They were engaged by John RALSTON at "Roseneath" station on the Glenelg river, near Casterton, S-W Victoria. In the 1860s they moved to "Penola" station, S-E South Australia and "Lake Monbeong" station near Nelson in S-W Victoria.

They had sevn children, the first four being born at "Roseneath" station on the Glenelg river, near Casterton, S-W Victoria from 1855-1861, and three more born in South Australia.
