& Isabella TURNER c.1821-1903 Isle of Skye, Scotland ; "Cove" Station (Wimmera), Victoria ; Hotspur & Coleraine, Victoria, Australia John BEATON c.1815-1881, b. Isle of Skye, Inverness, Scotland, son of John BEATON & Christina MATHESON was married in 1836, Portree, Scotland to Isabella TURNER c.1821-1903, b. Isle of Skye, Inverness, Scotland, daughter of John TURNER and Jessie McNAB. John & Isabella BEATON and four children - Christina, Archibald, Neil and Dugald emigrated under the HIES on the ship "Arabian", arriving at Portland, Victoria, Australia in September 1854. Two more children, Jessie and John were born after arrival in Victoria. The family lived at "Cove" Station (Wimmera), Victoria; then Hotspur, S-W Victoria; then at "Fleming Springs" Konongwootong, north of Coleraine, Victoria. John BEATON died at "Fleming Springs" north of Coleraine, Victoria in 1881 and his wife Isabella aslo died at "Fleming Springs" in 1903 and they are both buried in the Coleraine Cemetery. John BEATON and Isabella TURNER had the following family:
