William GOUGH (Snr) held the licence to the Branxholme Hotel from 1861 to 1882.

William GOUGH (Jnr) was a butcher and Portland Shire President from 1887-8 and 1897-8. He also served with the Victorian Mounted Rifles for 16 years.
