John KILLEEN b. ~1802, Co Clare, Ireland, son of William KILLEEN and Honora COSGOVE was married in 1847, Co Clare, Ireland to Ellen TIERNEY, b. ~1816, Co Clare, Ireland, daughter of __________?. John appears to have been first married to a Julia QUINN and they were the parents of the first daughter Bridget KILLEEN, b. c. 1837, Co Clare, Ireland.
John had a brother Patrick KILLEEN ~1813-1896, married to Mary HICKEY ~1820-1903, who were also at "Muntham" Station and Sandford before moving to Queensland.
John KILLEEN (40), his wife Ellen (36) and children Bridget (15), William (5), Patrick (3), & Bridget (infant), sailed on the ship "Runnymde" from England and arrived at Melbourne, Colony of Victoria in June 1852. They were settled on "Muntham" Station, near Sandford before 1857 and three more children were born in the area.
Most of their children remained in the Casterton-Sandford area, with many of them buried in the Sandford cemetery.
